sorry for digging this solved topic but i'm having this problem and the solution said here did not solve my issue.

i activated the Bypass firewall rules for traffic on the same interface but it keeps dropping the connection.

maybe i'm doing something wrong?

i'm using opnsense 22.7.7_1 on a hyper-v host

Found the problem!!

It was my switch.... For some reason the switch, witch is a smart switch, with vlan configs and igmp snooping activated, that somehow was blocking the multicast traffic... I'm feeling so dumb right now, the switch should have been the second device restarted after the FW.

It is now working flawless and the error I was getting is gone.

Still no joy... It is really a pain not figure out the problem.

Do any one know if it's possible to force igmpv3? Maybe the provider has changed something... Just guessing at this moment...

Just a heads up.
I've tried a fresh instal, to test if it was some problem during the update, and remained the same.

Tried a older version of igmpproxy and nothing different.

The firewall rules are working because of I start igmp without the stream IP range the log says that the IP isn't from a valid upstream network, which indicates that it is talking with the stream servers.

After updating from 20.7 to the latest 22, igmp stoped working. The IPTV stream works for 10 secs and then stops.
The log shows every 3 seconds this:

the error is:
MRT_DEL_MFC; Errno(49): Can't assign requested address

my version is 22.1.4_1.

it was working fine with a portuguese iptv provider called Altice/MEO.
