My technical knowledge is pretty good overall (programmer) but with networking I was lacking a lot so I bought a bunch of managed switches, routers, started making my own Cat5 cables and 2 "vault" fan-less computers. One I installed OPNsense the other one I installed pfSense. I thought my knowledge was coming along but once I saw those 2 programs and all the settings that I've never even heard of, it just tells me that I basically know nothing about networking. Lol I used to think I was OK because I knew how to forward a port on a router haha.
Now I'm looking at this forum, seeing all you guys talk about this stuff I have no clue about and I'm basically impressed not only at this software but also at all you guys for understanding so much about networking.

Btw. one other weird thing, I just checked on my own ntopng in my local network and I see this:
Host wifi.soubosonohy.cz is under SYN Scan [54 > 30 SYN received]

and:
Host 192.168.99.191 is a SYN Scan attacker [54 > 50 SYN sent]

I'm a little confused, is it bad that I went to this website now?

I'm confused by what this is supposed to be, is it a test setup or by mistake?

I wish I understood ntopng better because I have no idea what I'm looking at. I just clicked on restart to see if I can do anything and it said it restarted it, that's all I know lol.
