Virtual private networks / Route all traffic through VPN/Proxy
« on: January 16, 2022, 03:26:20 pm »
Hi y'all,
I'm looking for help on how to properly setup rules and port forwarding, to route all traffic a VPN running in a VM on the local network.
To put simply, I want all machines on the local network to go through a VM running WireGuard. I'm trying to do it this way because I got very bad performance running WireGuard from OPNsense. Problem is I don't know how to set up the rules and forwarding properly, and it bungles my brain... So essentially:
Machines on LAN (one interface, bridged) - > OPNsense -> VM with WireGuard -> teh glorious interwebs
Sadly I'm too dumb and can't figure out how to make it work. I would really appreciate it if someone could explain it like I'm 5.
