General Discussion / Download bandwidth issue through WAN interface
« on: November 01, 2021, 04:42:05 pm »
Hi,
I use OPNsense 21.7.4 and I have a download bandwidth quite bad regarding to what I should get.
I am around 400Mbps when testing the connection but if I link my computer directly on the FAI's box I am around 1 Gbps.
My setup is the following: physical Interfaces > WAN FAI1, WAN FAI2, LAN, WIFI
On the WAN inteface. I use the FAI boxes, respectively LiveBox and Freebox, each ones are in DMZ mode sending the data to their respective interface adresses on the OPNSense
On the LAN interface I have a Cisco switch.
I performed some bandwitdh tests on LAN interface, bandwitdh is around 1 Gbps.
I have checked the CPU usage of the hardware hosting Opnsense, we are around 30% so no issue there.
I have no pipe rules or any other limitation setup.
The issue is there for both WAN and seems to affect only or at least in a clear way the download bandwidth, the upload seems correct.
I have read some people with similar issue speaking about some VLan configuration, but I am not sure to have really understood what to do.
Does anyone have a clue for me?
Thanks.
