I noticed a very similar issue, as I see many others have as well.

I do not necessarily use IPv6, so I disabled it on all interfaces and everything seems to work for me now.

This is certainly something that is a critical issue though.

22.1 Legacy Series / Re: os-realtek-re (misconfigured)
August 05, 2022, 08:14:39 PM
I am replying to this thread since this is my exact issue, and wanted users who also came here via search results to see the solution if they also messed up in the same way I did.

I also followed darthfixxer's thought processes, but instead of verifying here first, I went ahead and removed the `os-realtek-re` plugin and did a reboot. As soon as that happened, I lost connectivity on my WAN (the Realtek NIC of course). In retrospect, this is of course what would happen.

I now cannot install new packages because the WAN interface doesn't have a driver. How do I fix this and reinstall the `os-realtek-re` driver manually? Searching for how to do that has only resulted in several "guides" on how to compile my own Realtek drivers for BSD, which I do not think is necessary considering this was already done by OPNsense since 2017 or so. I would prefer not to perform a fresh installation if at all possible.

Thanks in advance for any help and suggestions offered!

General Discussion / Re: opnsense on microtik?
September 23, 2021, 07:09:35 AM
I would also be quite interested in finding out if this is possible. I have two different RouterBoard devices (2011 and 3011) and would love to get OPNsense working on both if possible. My speed requirements aren't quite as high as the OP's, so the gig ports along with a single sfp connection are adequate for my home networking needs.

Ideas about how to do this, or even reasons it is not achievable would be appreciated.
