Hi All,

I currently (and have been for about a year) use PFsense via XG-7100. I have had a recent customer service experience with Netgate that has left a terrible taste in my mouth. So, I think it's time to come to the other side of the fence, but I wanted to get some opinions on this first. I would be running opnsense on my own custom-built hardware and this portion doesn't really concern me that much. However, the part I am nervous about is the actual network migration/settings from pfsense to opnsense. For example, I have my network setup with VLANS, OpenVPN, specific IP addresses, Specific Firewall rules, etc. Is migrating over to Opnsense a painful process? Is there something I should do before attempting the migration? What can I do to reduce the pain of migrating?
Any suggestions would be most welcome!
