I have a full unifi set-up for home network: UDM Pro, 16 Port Switch, and 5 APs. I am using the dual wan capability, with a fibre connections as my primary, and a 5G as a failover. In general the simplicity and benefits of this "unified" set-up work well for me to minimise admin effort.
The biggest shortfall for me at the moment is setting up better web filtering. This is predominantly from a parental control perspective:
I.e. blocking inappropriate sites
Disabling streaming (mainly youtube) at specific times (I would like to to be able to do this per devices / device group)
Other nice to have's would be:
Enabling centralised ad-blocking
Routing certain type of traffic through my "failover" 5g line
I do have a protectli vault that I am not using, and have opnsense installed on it.
Any suggestions on how achieve the above given my configuration and the option of using opnsense?
