Config:
LAN: 192.168.2.1/24, DHCP (OPNSense range 192.168.2.20-192.168.2.254)
WAN: 192.168.1.x (DHCP router ISP)
-> switch -> router(ISP) -> internet
I have some static IP mappings defined in the OPNSense DHCP Service in the range 192.168.2.2 - 192.168.2.19.
This was working fine and I could resolve the hostnames.
I have now created 2 VLANs in my switch (because I had no control on which gateways the clients would connect and I'm unable to disable the DHCP Server of my ISP router). This is working fine and while it fixes 1 problem it introduced another problem - I'm no longer able to resolve my static DHCP IP mappings.
VLAN config in the switch:
VLAN 1: WAN connections (x.x.1.1) - Management VLAN (port 1-8)
VLAN 2: LAN connections (x.x.2.1) - port 9-24
I assume it has to do with the fact that the OPNSense DHCP service is connect on VLAN 2 and that this isn't a management VLAN. Is it simple a matter of switching VLAN 2 to become the Management VLAN ?
Any help would greatly be appriciated...
