why does opnsense block everything on the internet except duckduckgo.com?

got to the GUI on my own with no ones help.

I have always had a keyboard and monitor installed to do installation.
if I plug firewall into internet and use as my router I get no internet connection.
need to configure firewall to be firewall not DHCP.

my mane problem is accessing the UI.
used my desktop via my network cable as software told me to do by entering IP address in browser.
installed opnsense using cd-rom.

usb dvd drive. dvd disc. supermicro motherboard. dual processors. 500gb dual hdd.

tried both ada0 and ada1. same result.

will format both drives.

please explain image.

need help with installation. I get to installer. I choose number 2 for single user and importer said no file on DVD?

By the way the provided instructions are in accurate. importer does not allow for logging in as installer with password opnsense. 

i do not log in. all i get is a network card setup screen.

how do you log in as installer.
