Hope that solution will help somebody one day.

Hi!

I'm struggling with a strange issue on my OPNsense 22.1.2_1-amd64.

Every few hours OpnSense loses internet connectivity. Every time this happens, there seems to be a problem with the lo0 interface. If I log in the console and ping 127.0.0.1, I get "Can't assign requested address" :(

If I do ifconfig lo0 down / ifconfig lo0 up, issue fixes itself for a few hours.

Could anyone help me troubleshoot this? Thanks

f.

no idea.  i would make a config backup of your pf box.  install OPNSense and set it up..and try it.  I got tired of pf's constant attempts to undermine OPN and with netgate's announcement of their eventual abandonment of the community product I've made the jump..:)

Unfortunately, Unbound keeps crashing and crashing and crashing on me, multiple times a day. :(
I just removed my second WAN (I have a failover setup) and it's been stable for a few hours. I don't know if it's fixed. :(

I'm using a quad-core XEON with 32GB Ram an my speed caps @approx 600Mbps ... while speedtesting, CPU goes nowhere near 100% ... :( This MB is equipped with 2x SFP+ 10G capable NICs, I doubt it's the hardware in my case. :( Back to 20.1 and my speed is back. :(

Hi Franco... I can try this tonight and post my results. BTW: thanks so much for your work. :)

I'm having the same problem ... ~940 Mbps on 20.1 dropped to no more than ~700Mbps (running on ESXi 7, quad core xeon). Reverted to a pre-upgrade snapshot and the speed is back! :(
