General Discussion / Re: PPPoE connection help

Just wanted to pop on here and express my thanks for the assistance. It took me a while, but I did finally get it working. I'm posting settings screenshots here in case anyone else runs into trouble setting up Opnsense with Centurylink gigabit internet via a PPPoE connection using VLAN 201.

Now on to all the fun networking stuff I can do!

Thank you all so much & sorry for missing some details. It is a gigabit FTTH connection. Fiber in to an ONT box then cat5 from ONT to mini PC (ibg0).

Reading this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/OPNsenseFirewall/comments/dw4ge9/any_chance_to_replace_centurylink_modem_zyxel/), I understand the the VLAN isn't assigned per se, rather it is linked to the WAN interface.

Do you happen to have that thread from the past few weeks. I can't seem to find it...

General Discussion / PPPoE connection help

Hi All --

I've spent many hours on this and am ready to pull my hair out (what little I have left, ha!). I'm failing on the initial install/config. My ISP uses PPPoE for connection and I've got my credentials from them, including setting the VLAN tagged at 201.

I've read guides here, on reddit and on the other "sense" boards but can't seem to figure it out.

Hardware is a Qotom mini pc with an intel i3-4030U (2 cores, 4 threads) with 4GB of RAM, 32G SSD, and 4 Intel NICs.

Here are the screenshots of the settings: https://imgur.com/a/q1nP3as . Can anyone please take a look and advise on what I've done wrong or what I'm missing?

Thank you very much in advance!
