I have had a few crashes lately after applying the last couple of updates. Some of them have been fatal trap:12 page fault in kernel mode....Is this related to hardware at all? Msata drive in use at the mo.

I always submit the error reports but yet to hear anything back.

I have several VPNs connected, each have an interface, and associated gateway.
I created a gateway group that would include only my VPNs gateway in the proper order.

I have then created a rule so that adresseip.com website get routed  out of the FW through this gateway group that only contains VPNs.

The rule is working, since when I disable my openVPN connections one by one, on another PC that gets this rule applied to him, I see that each time my IP as seen by adresseip.com website does indeed change, from one VPN to the next.

So far so good.
But when I turn all VPNs off, I see the gwgroup having all members down, in the firewall logs the trafic still matches the rule I added for adresseip, but instead of failing to connect, opnsense uses the default gateway (without VPN for me) and I see my real IP instead of seeing a blocked page...

Is that normal ? do I need to add a rule to prevent going out a specific gateway ?
if yes, how to do it ? The host should be allowed to use the normal default gateway when all VPNS are down, except for this site adresseip.com...

ich mache schon länger (über viele OPNSense Versionen) die Beobachtung, dass wenn ich einen neuen OpenVPN Server anlege, oder eine OpenVPN Instanz druchstarte wegen Config Änderungen, das dann auch diverse IPSec Tunnel wegbrechen und neu verbinden. Die allermeisten sind instant wieder verbunden, aber einige brauchen ihre Zeit.

Let me ask if Captive portal/logins could be used with granting more access rights to forbidden content, such as Youtube?
I would like to use this in local lan environment (not in guest network) where users do not login normally. But when user needs to access restricted parts of the network, such as Youtube, user could login with voucher on Captive portal and be granted for 30 minutes of YT access.

Typical scenario is in schools (and nowadays home schooling) where kids would spend all their energy with YT and therefore need to restrict during school hours. But in other hand, in some classes, YT is used in teaching. A voucher scheme for approving such temporary accesses would be nice.

Is this possible, or is it just me wondering something that makes no sense? Or is there even better and easier ways to solve this?

All the tips how solve this are highly appreciated!
