General Discussion / Re: ClamAV signatures

I know, it defies logic. I am running Manjaro KDE, and have tried this with Chromium, Brave and Firefox, and with all three browsers I get the same result. The only reason I can think this setting is getting deselected is because the signatures tab has no signatures listed, hence my original post on why I was not presented with the "download signatures" button, and how to go about populating this signatures tab with some entries, as otherwise ClamAV can't do its job (as I understand it).

Thanks for your reply. That would be odd, as this is a brand new installation. Moreover, when I click on the ClamAV signatures tab, nothing is listed, and it does not even let me enable it, as when I do click on enable, click on save, navigate away and return, it's back to having enable deselected. This is amazingly frustrating.

Thanks anyway.

General Discussion / ClamAV signatures

Hello, all.

I'm running the latest version of OPNsense on an Intel i3 PC with 16 GB of RAM. When looking at the ClamAV page on the official OPNsense documentation, it shows the ClamAV setting page (https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/clamav.html?highlight=clamav) showing at the very top a yellow banner indicating no signature databases found, and providing an orange button that reads "Download Signatures". However, after I install the ClamAV plugin, I am missing this. How do I go about downloading said signature database? Thanks
