but i am little confused about following instructions,

(make a rule to allow DNS traffic to your DNS Server
make a rule to allow HTTP traffic to alias ALLOWED_HOSTS)

can someone give me sample config about this so i can replicate it on my LAN firewall Tab, thanks.

My Apologies if this has been answered before, I have been googling for opnsense captive portal templates but it seems there very few,

the ones i found allow me to login and logout and after much testing it seems the use sometimes gets stuck on the portal page,

I need a template which will allow the users to Click "Agree to terms" and then get forwarded to an external site like www.google.com or www.ducduckgo.com etc

Hi I have the latest x64 version on a JWNf36 2800 Mobo,
The wifi I am using is a pciem BCM94313HMG2L
I am able to see the wifi card in CLI but cannot add an interface using the webui as it cannot be found..

Please assist

Hi thanks, unfortunately i ended up going with Pfsense (which i am already using ) which has the pfblockerNg,

Main reason for the switch was actually being able to install the pfsense i386 only my N270 Atom, latest release ( dtd may 2019 which is outdated already as pfsense as dropped i386 support already)

And the ease of using PfblockerNG in a home environment,

I really want to use OPNsense and hope it is available for ARM based routers like the Orange Pi R1 or Orange Pi R2...

in fact i have Both boards and have been scouring the forum for any link to an image that can be installed on Orange Pi R1 / R2

Hi, First post, just started using opnsense for Home use,
I've been using pfsense in production at work, i also have very limited experience with networks.
just got my hands on a very old centrum gi945 thinclient . so far the basic operation is fine, but ive been looking for adblocking with opnsense,

I have looked at sensei but the basic requirement is 8gb ram and the thinclient only has 1Gb with an atom 270

any suggestions?
