19.7 Legacy Series / [SOLVED] Installation via serial console hangs
« on: October 14, 2019, 04:39:27 pm »
Hello,
I'am having trouble installing opnSense 19.7 (and all available earlier versions) via the serial console on an Axiomtek NA570 (http://www.axiomtek.fr/Default.aspx?MenuId=Products&FunctionId=ProductView&ItemId=1113&upcat=233). The installer starts normally and then hangs at some point (sometimes a bit earlier, sometimes a bit later). I already had successfully installed an older version of opnSense in the past (don't know which version anymore) and currently I was able to install a Debian 10 Buster successfully on the box. But now I have to reinstall opnSense...
Here is the output:
Does anyone have an idea?
Thanks
Sebastian
[SOLUTION]
I had wrong expectations. I expected the installation procedure to happen at the serial console. Instead the system started a DHCP server on the first network interface and is accessible via browser for the installation on 192.168.1.1
