Hey all,

I'm about to lose it soon throwing my firewall out the building.
I've done everything the guide says. The vpn connection works fine but I can not get any internet out or through the vpn.

Can someone please have a look at the screenshots and tell my if something is wrong?

Version: 19.1

Thanks

Hey guys,

I'm on my way to lose it soon on this one...
I've got (what I think) everything in the guide to make this work.

The openVPN settings works without any problem.
It connects and the VPN virtual device gets an IP and so on.
I don't get any internet out from it. Not externally or over vpn.

Anyone..?
Have a look on my attachements if I've forgotten something.

Version: 19.1

best regards,
T

Hey,

Versions OPNsense 18.7.10_3-amd64
FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p18
OpenSSL 1.0.2q 20 Nov 2018

I've done these settings on the other guide earlier. Since it didn't work I found this one.
I'm able to connect on the VPN and so on. But when connected I don't get any internet. When not connected through VPN I do get internet. It has to do with the rules I guess. But, they are identical to yours so can't see the problem.

What can I show you to get this to work?

Thanks!

But what if I need to add an alias like I was able to befor updating?

I was able to click "add" and enter a specific ip which was connected to my openvpn clients.

Hey,

After updating to 18.7 the "view" option has disappeared under Aliases.
This option was available before the update. Has it moved or what might have happen?

Versions
OPNsense 18.7.10_3-amd64
FreeBSD 11.1-RELEASE-p18
OpenSSL 1.0.2q 20 Nov 2018

Thanks!

General Discussion / Re: Change IP to GUI
January 20, 2019, 12:31:35 PM
Why I need this is because I've got the WAN connected directly to be CPE and the usb network adapter connected to router.

Now I need to be able to send traffic between the LAN and the WAN. Just don't know how.

General Discussion / Change IP to GUI

Hey,

I've got an up and running opnsense atm.
I need to change the ip of the gui. Right now it's set to 192.168.1.100 on my LAN interface and 192.168.1.186 on my USB Network adapter. How can I change so I access the web gui to the usb network adapter?

Thanks!

Hey,

thanks for a great guide. Works perfect connecting through VPN.

I just have a question that I can't really figure out.
Is it possible to setup this functionality like this.

I'm using a Unifi USG router with two WAN ports.
I'd like to connect the computer running OPNsense to my CPE (port 1, seperate IP) and use a usb network adapter which is connected to my USG WAN2.
I'll also connect my USG to the CPE (port 2, seperate IP). on WAN1.

My noob knowledge of this .. will it work routing through my usg. Tell devices to route through the OPNsense machine through my network of the USG. It can listen and see both WAN-ports.. so, my logic tells me it works. But what should I do in opnsense?

Wold be wonderful to get a hint of how.

Thanks

General Discussion / opnsense + unifi usg
January 18, 2019, 10:15:03 AM
Hey guys,

I've got a working installation of mac and connected through a VPN client to ExpressVPN.
I've also got a Unifi USG.

I would like to route specific devices over VPN, Through the opnsense installation.

I've got it connected like this.

CPE
- Port 1: Unifi USG
- Port 2: Opnsense

Unifi USG
- WAN1 - CPE port 1
- WAN2 - interface (network card 2, USB) opnsens

Is it even possible to route traffic through the devices connected like this?

Thanks
