April 12, 2023, 08:37:40 PM
Hi, my main concern is memory

Should I install 23.1 to enable ZFS or only upgrade and stay in UFS

This are the specs of the equipment

Versions = OPNsense 22.7.11_1-amd64
CPU type = Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2140 @ 1.60GHz (2 cores, 2 threads)
real memory  = 1074790400 (1025 MB)
avail memory = 991195136 (945 MB)

I am in 20.1, but when I check for updates, always return "There are no updates available on the selected mirror"

I had tried with different mirrors, always the same message

is there a way to update manually (download a file and install it)?

TIA

20.1 Legacy Series / Help to install WireGuard plugin
February 15, 2020, 01:00:47 AM
How are the plugin installed?

I have OPNsense 20.1.1-i386

If I go to System : Firmware : Plugin I can't find the WireGuard plugin listed

How I install the WireGuard plugin?

Analyzing the error message, I see that it is sent by the "pkg" system, indicating that there is an problem with the sqlite database (malformed)

pkg-static: sqlite error while executing iterator in file pkgdb_iterator.c:1080: database disk image is malformed

I backup and proceed to verify the database of the system "pkg", this indicates that there are rows that are not in the index, so I re-index it and check again to verifying that there are no errors

root@OPNsense# cp /var/db/pkg/local.sqlite  ./local.sqlite.backup
root@OPNsense# sqlite3 /var/db/pkg/local.sqlite
SQLite version 3.30.1 2019-10-10 20:19:45

After that, I could update up to 20.1.1-i386

I did over ten updates 19.7 -> 19.7.10 just this week for QA purposes and I haven't been running into issues.

Do an upgrade from the console, Option 12. We need an error message to diagnose this.

Cheers,
Franco

This it the output from console (still the same errors)

Unbound is a validating, recursive, caching DNS resolver. It is designed to be fast and lean and incorporates modern features based on open standards.

https://nlnetlabs.nl/projects/unbound/about/
