26.1 Series / Re: 26.1.1 MTU Issues on PPPoE
February 11, 2026, 09:31:58 AM
I am running PPPoE over VLAN 6 for KPN FTTH in the Netherlands.
When looking at my "WAN" interface, I see that my MTU is set to 1508.
Under Devices → Point-to-Point → PPPoE, no MTU is set.
Under Interfaces → Overview, IGC0 (my physical NIC) shows an MTU of 1512.

I remember that at some point I had to add the physical adapter to the interfaces and set the MTU to 1512.
Was that in version 23.7?

Current output of http://pmtud.enslaves.us/
No IPv6 connectivity to http://pmtud.enslaves.us/ ! (tested at 2 locations)
Yesterday IPv6 MTU was looking ok!

Everything seems clear to me now! Thanks for the awesome support!

According to the documentation, "Identity Association" allows manual configuration. I will try that later.

QuoteIdentity Association offers similar functionality like Track Interface (legacy), but without automatic ISC-DHCPv6 and Radvd configuration. It is intended for pure RA and DHCPv6 configuration using Dnsmasq or Kea/Radvd.
#4
See the attached screenshot for the LAN settings.
I thought that when "Manual configuration" is turned off, only radvd distributes IPv6 addresses.

I am assigned a /48 prefix by my ISP.
#5
That's why I saw that a prefix was delegated.
I'm also looking into switching to Kea or dnsmasq in the near future.
#6
When looking in "Services - ISC DHCPv6 - Leases - Delegated Prefixes", I noticed that a prefix had been delegated.
My LAN interface is tracking the WAN interface with prefix ID "AAAA", with manual configuration turned off.

When checking /var/log/dhcpd/latest.log, I saw the delegated prefix as shown below:

<190>1 2026-02-05T05:37:11+01:00 firewall.redacted.com dhcpd 71898 - [meta sequenceId="2"] Reply NA: address 2a02:REDA:CTED:aaaa::1245 to client with duid 00:02:00:00:ab:11:1c:2f:ae:81:d3:02:e2:c3 iaid= 146797512 valid for 7200 seconds

How is it possible that a prefix is delegated when all related options are turned off?
The device requesting the prefix is a hardware Globalping probe.
#7
Looks like that is working!

Thanks.

Having the same issue with the mobile view of the dashboard.

See attached screenshots.
1 menu invisible, 2 after some clicking around found the menu butten.

I am not having any troubles with the temprature.
Only posting this because Patrick asked.

Running Intel4 after running Intel3 for 1.5 weeks.
No issues so far!
#11
Running ICMP2 kernel for 22 hours now and not seeing any reconnect from the Chromecast!
I think my Chromecast is the problem.
#12
With icmp2 kernel i see multiple reconnects of a google chromecast "google tv" in my unifi dashboard.

Running kernel pf4 for a while now. And it looks like the reconnects are gone.

Maybe the reverts are the best for 24.7.2
#13
Ship the fix!
#14
And a Confirmation from my side as well!

Windows 11 pro traceroute via IPv6 AND IPv4 is working fine!

Great!

Can't help you with that.
But if more testing is needed today i can help.
