Habe es jetzt 2h versucht hin zu bekommen, noch klappt es nicht. So zu 80% verstehe ich wie dein Ablauf gemeint ist. Werde ich die Tage weiter tüfteln müssen.

Was war denn hier die Lösung?

Möchte auch eine bestehende DHCP Umgebung nutzen um per OpnSense VPN eingeloggte User ein IP davon ziehen zu lassen. Nur wie?

Leider scheint das nicht zu funktionieren. Ich habe testhalber 3 virtuelle Netzwerkkarten an die VM angeschlossen. (hn0, hn1, hn2)
Frage 1: WAN Interface sage ich hn1
Frage 2: LAN Interface: Sage ich ENTER (nichts)
Frage 3: Erscheint nicht. Diese Frage 3 nach "Optional 1 interface" erscheint nur, wenn ich bei Frage 2 zum LAN etwas angebe, zb"hn0". Ist es leer (ENTER), keine Chance auf Frage 3, wird augenscheinlich übersprungen.

Unabhängig davon: Darf man diesen Wunsch, DHCP optional deaktivieren während der Installation, in eine Feature Wishlist kippen? Auf Github oder wo auch immer das möglich wäre. Etwas dagegen :- )?

Besteht bei OpnSense die Möglichkeit, den DHCP Server noch während der Installation zu deaktivieren?

Ich habe im gleichen Netz bereits DHCP Server und OpnSense funkt da dazwischen. Ich möchte PFSense<>OPnSense vergleichen, da ist mir aufgefallen, die PFSense Installation fragt im Installer ob der DHCP Dienst aktiviert werden soll, was ich verneinen konnte.

Gibt es dieselbe Möglichkeit bei OpnSense auch?

i have a use-case where 18+ locations needs to be connected to their local DSL connection for white proxy internet usage. A Firewall like OpnSense should work as a WebProxy for all the users on site. In Future maybe the guest-wifi-coupon solution will be added for guests. This locations are connected to each other through MPLS but the standard internet browser traffic should not go via main location due to bandwith limitations when everybody is streaming ;-) So means, 18+ OpnSense's needs to be managed  cenralized and with automated roll-outs of their configs.

Is the API ready to use to configure OpnSense after installation? In that case an ansible playbook can do it. A CLI is easyier but a fully working API will do it too.

If not, whats the way to configure & manage 18+ OpnSense Installations? For sure i  dont want click through 18+ WebUIs for any change.. ;-)

So, whats the best practice here :-)?
