Hallo,

The problem was an EMC problem. grounding the device did the trick...

20.1 Legacy Series / [Solved] System hangs
July 12, 2020, 04:00:32 PM
Hi,
I've got a Fitlet2 running with
OPNsense 20.1.8_1-amd64
FreeBSD 11.2-RELEASE-p20-HBSD
OpenSSL 1.1.1g 21 Apr 2020

At least once a day - I can't tell for sure - around midday - the system hangs (the last system log entry was at 12:34). I've got another filter2 running with a similar configuration without any problems. The hanging one is a new one.
I can't see, where the problem would be. Is there something I can turn on for verbose debugging or similar? When the system hangs, I can't even access the system via screen/keyboard.

Hi,
I'm struggling with a configuration I want to achieve. I have got two sites with a Wireguard Site to site VPN running - works great.
Now comes the part I'm having problems with:
I want to access a certain IP address from site A via site B. I don't know, if what I'm describing is clear. I want to access the certain IP from Site A as if I was accessing it via site B.

Any ideas how to configure that?

Thank you for your help

Hi, sorry - that was my fault. It's working again. It was a hardware problem.

18.1 Legacy Series / VLAN not working anymore
February 18, 2018, 11:55:25 AM
Hi,
I'm using the current version OPNsense 18.1.2_2-amd64. Before I was using 17.x and my VLAN setting was working.
I'm using 2 VLANs for specialised WLAN accesses (Guest and an additional). I have a separate WLAN interface, the VLANs come in via this interface. Every interface (WLAN, Guest and additional) has its own IP range, DHCP server configured on every interface. It now seems, that the Clients do not get an IP address from the Server - WLAN (no VLAN tag) is working fine. I don't see any log entries for the VLANs in the DHCP server.
Any ideas?

17.7 is working though, installation without any problems. Only reboot hangs

Hi,
it may be similar, but in fact I can boot into the installer from ISB stick. As soon as I get to select the installation media, I cannot see my SSD, only the USB stick is shown. I haven't noticed any timeout error during booting into the system.

Hi,
I'm using a fitlet 2 with an m.2 ssd card (64GB). I have an installation running with the following versions:

OPNsense 17.7.12_1-amd64
FreeBSD 11.0-RELEASE-p17
OpenSSL 1.0.2n 7 Dec 2017

I tried to install the new version. First I tried with the console UI option. Starting was not possible anymore. I had to downgrade again - which fortunately worked without any problems. Now I tried to do a clean install, but the problem is, that the installer does not detect my ssd. Still, the installed version is booting and working.
