I'm running version: OPNsense 17.7.12-amd64

I have a couple of ports forwarded which are working fine.

Let's say for example I've got the port 12345 forwarded and it's working a treat, I've tried to copy the rule by clicking on the copy icon and just changed the port to 12346.

Now port 12345 is still open without issue but port 12346 isn't open, am I missing something?

Well, my update:

I'm halfway there, for example, I can ping the google.com IP address and get a response but pinging the domain name doesn't work.  I know it's a DNS issue but I can't for the life of me work out how to fix it.

I see Kevin99 had a similar issue but has neglected to inform the rest of us how he managed it :(

If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Another issue I've got with OpenDNS, which might be related somehow.

It seems to be working to a degree because it's blocking sites that I've blocked, however, it doesn't seem to be logging the sites I've visited or even my requests?

Good shout about DNSSEC, i'd got that enabled.

I've disabled it and it's working.

I have DNS server IP addresses entered in there. I have the IP addresses that OpenDNS suggest.

I'm currently on 17.7.12 should I look at updating?

I'm currently using Unbound DNS but when I check 'DNS Query Forwarding' it stops access to websites.

I too am having issues getting this setup, I've gone through all of the settings mentioned in this forum post but I'm still struggling to route my traffic through the VPN, the VPN is up and running and connected it just seems to be the firewall rules that I'm struggling with.

I will keep at it and post back when I finally get it working, hopefully between all of us that are struggling we can all get it sorted.
