I trying to set a Port Forwarding on WAN to internal Server with Protocol HTTPS on Port 443. I followed the steps found in a thread from this forum https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=6155.0

Unfortunately the requests are blocked by the firewall.

One thing that confuses me a little bit is the fact, that in the link above there was described to set "Destination" to "WAN Addresses" . In other tutorial I found, that this has to be set to the corresponding internal Webserver. But still, neither way works. I have set true nat enabled, as said in the original posting. But wherever I look, everything seems to look fine with NAT and corresponding Firewall rule. I have no clue what is going wrong.

OK, I found this article https://github.com/opnsense/core/issues/141. I followed the procedure, even did pfctl -d, but I cant reach webgui via wan. WAN is getting ip from dhcp but even on shell I cannot ping the dhcp server. I really dont know what is going wrong.

is it possible, to enable Webgui on WAN interface from the cli? Problem ist, that I installed on a Hyper-V test environment and WAN ist the only reachable interface right now.

Nach der Installation, also nicht von live CD hat es jetzt geklappt.

habe mir die OPNSense ISO geladen und meinen Hyper-V Guest eine legacy Netzwerkkarte spendiert. Beim booten wird diese auch erkannt, aber wenn ich den Menüpunkt 2 wähle und dem Interface DHCP zuweise, bekomme ich keine IP. Die Netzwerkkarte hängt an einem virtuellen Switch, der per WIFI im LAN verbunden ist. Weise ich dem Interface eine fix IP aus dem LAN Subnet zu, dann komme ich nicht auf die WEBGUI. Weiss jemand, wo das Problem liegen könnte?

I am wondering why when booting 17.1 from stick will not let me install to hdd. As described on "getting started" standard behavior should be "install" I only have the option to start in multi user, single user etc. When selecting "1" or wait till timeout then it starts a live system of 17.1. What did I miss?

WLAN und FreeBSD ist leider keine gute Kombination.  :-[
Hab selbst einige Wochen gebraucht um USB-WLAN Sticks stabil an meiner OPNSense ans laufen zu bekommen. Selbst wenn der Chipsatz  unter FreeBSD grundsätzlich unterstützt wird heißt das leider nicht, dass hostapd stabil läuft! Viele Wifi-Devices sind vorrangig auf den Betrieb als WLAN-Client ausgelegt und nicht auf den Betrieb als AP.
Ich habe hier mehrere USB-Wifi-Sticks mit Ralink Chipsätzen sprichwörtlich 'verheizt'. Nach einigen Tagen Dauerbetrieb als AP sind die gestorben.  :-\
Bei anderen ließ sich hostapd unter OPNSense problemlos einrichten -> Aber trotzdem kein WiFi...

Ich würde jedem empfehlen einen separaten AP für WLAN unter OPNSense zu nutzen!

Da bin ich ja ziemlich verwundert. Gerade die beworbene Funktion als Hotspot mit CaptivePortal lies mich vermuten, das OPNSense auf ein Szenario mit inkludiertem AcceccPoint eine gute Wahl ist. Wie ich gesehen habe, hat die Nano Box Ci323 eine Karte für den M2 Steckplatz. Leider gibt es da nicht viel Auswahl an Karten. Auf USB hab ich keine Lust und auf einen separaten AP noch viel weniger. Wollte meine Fritzbox ersetzen.

Since Integration Intel AC 3260 is not supported with 17.1 I looking for a new card. It should work out of the box with Opnsense and must be able to work as a Hotspot.Any suggestions?

gibt es denn schon Neuigkeiten bezüglich der Unterstützung dieser WLAN-Karte? Die Box ist wirklich gut, aber ohne hostapd Unterstützung o.ä. in OPNSense kommt es dann für mich nicht in Frage.

ist es möglich, dass ich auf dem OpenSense OpenVPN als Client nutze und es so konfigurieren kann, dass alle anfragen aus dem LAN über den Tunnel geleitet werden, auch DNS?
