MAx supported NICs
« on: February 02, 2018, 07:05:07 am »
Hello
I am running v 17.1. My hardware has 8 igb ports which run fine. Somewhere i found 8x Gigabit PCIe NIC card. Now my system should typically show 16 NICs but it only shows 12. ANy ideas what might be causing this?

Just a thought - you can have around 4000 VLAN's ;-)

At some point there is a slowdown in operation with too many interfaces plugged in but deployments with a few hundreds of interfaces (mostly VLANs) is not uncommon and running fine.

What are your interface names? Can you share your dmesg output?

Cheers,
