Gateway Failover Notifications

Hi all. I just switched over from pfSense (finally). I have a gateway group setup with my backup ISP as tier 2. I want to setup email notifications (I'm guessing using Monit?) so when it fails from my primary gateway to the backup, and vise versa. I can't find much documentation on this, any help would be appreciated.

Just wanted to see if anyone had any ideas on this. I see Monits but the documentation I’m seeing doesn’t show any support for interfaces unless I’m reading outdated stuff.
