IPSEC VPN and Android client
« on: March 14, 2018, 12:03:22 pm »
Hello, I can correctly use Android + OpenVPN client + OPNsense but there seem to be some issues with battery consumption on phone. I am trying to use the internal IPSEC client on android so I followed the HowTo and can correctly authenticate. I also see packet flowing from android , pass thru OPNsense and reach the destination host. The icmp reply packet flows from the destination host to OPNsense and... get lost.
I used the tutorial at
https://wiki.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/ipsec-road.html
and every setting is compliant to this doc.
Version is 18.1.2_2

Did someone succeded using this ?

I had this issue also. funnierwise, i added a rule on the ipsec Interface, target "this Firewall" - afterwards, it worked.

btw. - is your traffic to Internet passing through opnsense or directly from your android-device to the Internet? i never got "Routing all traffic through the tunnel" working.
