OPENVPN verbosity levels

Dear All,
I understand that verbosity levels are logging levels but using a high number would slow down the tunnel ?
as I undersand level 10 is Win32 registry debugging info and OpenSSL locks, does it means it will log everything which will cause a slow tunnel ?
this is a discussion thank you

Very interesting topic.
I mainly leave mine on level 5 or 7 to get all the error messages, which are relevant to troubleshoot VPN connections. I never felt my tunnel got slower just by using it. Maybe someone already figured that out.

read somewhere:
"Each level shows all info from the previous levels. Level 3 is recommended for a good summary of what's happening without being swamped by output.
None: Only fatal errors
Default through 4: Normal usage range
5: Output R and W characters to the console for each packet read and write. Uppercase is used for TCP/UDP packets and lowercase is used for TUN/TAP packets.
6-11: Debug info range"
