[SOLVED] PF was wedged/busy and has been reset

Hello,
yesterday I changed some aliases on our firewall cluster and then got these messages:
There were error(s) loading the rules: pfctl: DIOCADDRULE: Device busy - The line in question reads
:
PF was wedged/busy and has been reset.
The configuration however is working and both units seem to be running fine.
Should I be worried anyway?

Hi there,
Wow, I haven't seen this in a very long time.
Your box is fine, there was a task for rules underway while you reloaded so they both clashed and produced that warning.
If you can't reproduce this easily, you're fine. If it happens on every reload, we should take a closer look.
Cheers,
Franco

Hi Franco,
thanks for your quick reply. I hadn't seen this once on any of our opnsense boxes yet, this is why I was a little worried about it in the first place. I will keep an eye on it but I think it's going to be ok.
Next task should be updating to 17.7.
Cheers,
J.
