MultiWAN and Squid
« on: January 26, 2017, 08:21:23 am »
Hello!

i try to configure Multiwan and squit (how-to)
i have allready tried this in 16.7.13 with the same problem but somewhere i read a post that it will be fixed with 17.1 - so i give it a new try.

everything works fine but when i activate NAT rule i can not acces a website any more.
Ping and nslookup works fine - for example ping www.google.com or nslookup www.google.com

i will attach screenshots - if you need more information, screenshots,... tell me.

thx
alexander

you should increase the size for attachments.

i think the problem is the NAT rule.
if i deactivate that rule - everything works fine.

The transparent proxy can't connect to the internet. It listens on 127.0.0.1.

You could try to add a floating rule with the multi-wan policy (gateway) and 127.0.0.1 as the source.

If squid can't connect, maybe e.g. a firmware upgrade also doesn't work or does it?

Otherwise, the NAT rule may not be doing what it should.

Cheers,
Franco

Er ok, is this a manual NAT rule? Can you enable the help text on "transparent proxy" setting (click the icon) and follow the link. It has the correct rule setup...
