[Resolved] 17.1 Netflow/Insight
« on: February 18, 2017, 10:48:31 pm »
Does anyone know, is Insight/Netflow still broken in the RC17.1? I am running 17.1, I see cache changing for Netflow but nothing ever appears in Insight.

***EDIT*** [Resolution]
For anyone curious or having the same issue, I purged my netflow cache, and right after doing so the Insight page had data once more and is functioning properly.

Which make of network cards are you using? I only got it to work by moving from Realtek to Intel NICs.

Reset the NetFlow data under Reporting: Settings. I know of no issues with Insight/Netflow on 17.1.x.

@Bartjsmit
I am going to check the exact model today, I know its an Intel.

@Franco
I reset the data, so when I come back to reply with the correct model of NIC I will also check to see if I have netflow data flowing or not.

Thanks for both of the replies, sorry I didn't give more information on this post, had a busy morning.

@Franco

I apologize for the wait its been crazy at work and at home. Your suggestion work, right after clearing everything started working perfectly. I guess something was just hung up in the cache.

I have the same issue, but it keeps coming up every few days, after a reset of the Netflow data it works for some times but then fails again.
Is there a log I should check?

I have the same Insight failure after upgrading to 17.1.3. Works for a bit then get the no data error. Clear cache and its good for a bit.

What do you exactly mean by "cache"? I cannot find such an option in the GUI.

If I clear/purge the "cache", will I loose all my historical data?
