[SOLVED] LiveCD mode

Hello,
I'm not sure WTF happened but I thought I had installed OPNsense but it turns out I'm running in LiveCD mode. I have everything setup and working and I just want to confirm that there is no way to get this installed using the current settings. I took a backup and I figured worst case i'll have to reinstall and get it running on SSD then restore the settings unless there is a better way .
Thank you

go to backup and backup the configuration. Download the backup.
now this time actually install it and restore from that backup
you should be good.
OPNSense is good. I went back to PFsense because of no way to track total bandwidth per day, per month. Only reason why I'm sticking with PFsense for now becasue of that.

Run this from the shell, clone your system to disk by installing it
# /usr/local/etc/rc.installer
Cheers,

Thank you guys for your time answering my questions! Some background: I have been using pfsense for a few years (on an ESXi VM) now but I was always having some minor sporadic issues (websites would time out one minute be fine the next). Never bad enough that we could not live with it. Recently it took a dive where it was timing out on most of my websites. Fortunately I had a Dell 7010 that I was going to repurpose as my "Gateway" ESXi box (so I don't have to lose connectivity anytime I need to bounce the main ESXi server) and I was able to boot into OPNSense and get myself up and running pretty quickly (even if the auto detect on the WAN/LAN never seems to work for me).
Anyways I did manage to figure out my issue. I re-installed again and paid attention this time and I noticed that I had an error. Basically I can't install a VM on the same SSD that ESXi is installed on. And i can't install it on a USB since it requires a real disk drive for a datastore.
So for now I'm running in Live CD mode and it's just fine (got the Dell on a UPS). I ordered the fastest USB3 stick I could find and next time I have some spare time I'll re-install ESXi on the USB stick and use the SSD for the datastore. So thank you guys for saving my bacon! My young daughters go ballistic when the internet is down for too long.
