PIA vpn
« on: June 24, 2015, 03:06:51 am »
I'm trying to setup a PIA openvpn client. The part where I am stuck is the credentials. In pfsense I had to edit a file( can't find the option on opnsense) for the user and password and tell the vpn where to look for it.  Do I have to ssh into opnsense to make a file?  I tried to put my credentials in the client but that is not working.

I used ssh to create the text file and it's working now. I'm guessing opnsense does not have the edit file option or command prompt.

Hi there,

we removed the edit functionality for security reasons. Can you let me know which file you edited how? Maybe we can find a better way in the GUI to do that. :)

Cheers,

create file in the path: /etc/openvpn-password.txt
Add the following two lines in the text box, substituting your username and password provided to you by PIA:
username
password
Click the Save button
