Why OPNsense use squid 3?
Is there a squid 4 in the roadmap?

The mos recent version of Squid is 3.5 and version 4 is beta and probably not suitable for a firewall yet. If you want to raise the subject of a version change/upgrade then you're probably better off posting on github.

So I want to point out the obvious: did anyone test Squid 4 yet? Because we as a general policy try not to ship untested major releases. ;)

Cheers,

Some template code must be adjusted - for example the code for TLS ciphers.
