VERY Slow Install

I had the same issue with the previous version. I had given up thinking it had frozen at 10%. This time I waited but after almost 40min its at around 50%. It shouldn't take this long. Does anyone know what the issue may be?
I have a J3455m motherboard (asrock)

It sounds like a driver issue. It could be a bad cable. The installer really only copies the files as fast as the system it runs on lets it.

There is something else wrong. With the same USB drive, same USB port on the PC, and same bios/settings, pfsense installs in about 10 min. Opnsense, after over 2 hours, seemed to be stuck at 75% (although I think it was not stuck, just very slow). I thought it may be related to MBR vs UEFI install (pfsense is MBR), so I tried installing opnsense in MBR mode, but it was equally slow.
What kind of driver issue could it be? Is there something different about freebsd 11 vs 10?

Someone noted you could try updating the Bios. If you used pfSense 2.3 you have the difference of FreeBSD 10.3 vs. 11.0 as well as non-UEFI support (SC driver) vs. UEFI-support (VT driver). It's apples and oranges.
