o system: dashboard widget does not know about patch release syntax

normally my updated business edition firewall shows check for pending updates. (I believe is the wording).  now after yesterdays update it shows the attached.   is that from the patch above?    or will the firewall say check for pending updates.  when there are pending updates?

It should only say "pending" when there are actual updates available. Otherwise it just prompts for update checks there.

The reality is a bit fluent with hen and egg type circular dependencies on what an update is, when it was last checked for and where it is to be found.

In my experience :

- Click to check for updates = When there are no updates, but you can check manually.
- Click to check pending updates = When the OS knows there has been an update released and I should check what it is.
(This last one might not be an exact quote, but it's something similar anyway...)
Weird guy who likes everything Linux and *BSD on PC/Laptop/Tablet/Mobile and funny little ARM based boards :)

Yes, that's the intention indeed. I think in the early days we had "there are no updates available" but then someone said they always want to click directly from the dashboard. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
