26.1.9 - Nut netclient no longer functional (SEGV)

After update to 26.1.9, Nut in netclient mode will segfault repeatedly:

<6>[2783] pid 13526 (upsc), jid 0, uid 0: exited on signal 11 (no core dump - bad address)

This appears to be https://github.com/networkupstools/nut/issues/3454
