<SOLVED> Apinger dont start after update to 17.1.7

After updating to 17.1.7 the Apinger service (Gateway Monitoring Daemon) dont start, and cannot be startet manually.

Hi shade,

The logs are under System: Gateways: Log File. You'd also have to shed a bit of light on your gateway monitoring configuration. It would also help which version you came from.

I'm not aware of a change that would cause this in a 17.1.6 -> 17.1.7 transition, but let's see. :)

Sorry for the late reply, I got distracted by more pressing maters.

The problem still existed after update to 17.1.8, the logs says:

apinger: No usable targets found, exiting

The default gateway seems to be correctly configured. I edit the gateway (edit/save) without changing a thing the problem goes away.

Great, thanks, I had the same with apinger not running. After editing and saving without any changes it works again.

And I have  the same sytuation - apinger doesn't start but after reedition of Getway   it started .

Version of soft is 17.1.8   on VM appilance with installed VM ware tools .
