install? NextDNS service?

Excuse me Please:

Is there a way to, beyond just inputting NextDNS' dns servers, actually install the service into the 26.1.6 OPNsense os?

NextDNS does include instructions for installing on a 'FreeBSD' os,
https://github.com/nextdns/nextdns/wiki/FreeBSD

 which i realize OPNsense is based on;

However, as I would choose not to take anything for granted, what would, or, can there, be a means of installing the Account-specified service?

You can.

But using Services: Unbound DNS: DNS over TLS with your custom subdomain will probably be better.

I Thank You for the alacrity of your response.
I will read up and attempt to implement.
:)

ok,.. so, am attempting to setup as suggested, and, AND as per the process for the "Initial Setup" I input into the Server IP field:
45.90.30.241
45.90.28.241
(since the initial setup apparently, as per Linux network comms, has NO idea what to do with "45.90.30.241, 45.90.28.241"

and the UI is complaining with: "Please specify a valid network segment or IP address."

The above ARE[/i][/b] valid IP addresses. :/

Any ideas?

In which field are you entering these addresses?

Do an entry with only one ip address and a second with the second ip.

under Services/Unbound DNS/[enabled][+add]/Edit server/Server IP 'IP address of DNS server to forward all requests.'

so, if i understand correctly, one must [+add] a single, basically duplicate, 'Custom Server' for each IP address needed?

Lastly, by what process would I follow to verify/test that the OPN is using said 'Unbound' DNS?

"IP address" - single. That's why I asked.

Yes.

tcpdump on the command line or Interfaces: Diagnostics: Packet capture is what I would use.
