Hello,

I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing an issue where it's not possible to install the latest version of ntopng (6.7). Instead, only the outdated OPNsense‑provided version appears, which hasn't been updated for quite some time.

Has anyone found an alternative way to access or install the latest ntopng release, apart from the official instructions, given that OPNsense does not update it regularly?

You could build it yourself via:

git clone https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-ports.git
cd net/ntopng
make install clean --DBATCH

>If it builds, I suppose, I didn't test that.

Hardware:
DEC740

Thanks, but this has already been prepared by ntop, who prepared the appropriate instructions, but it seems like the problem is in the opnsense library.

Has anyone tried following the instructions on a fresh installation:
https://www.ntop.org/guides/ntopng/third_party_integrations/opnsense.html

We'll update the port as it became available in FreeBSD ports, but we avoided it for now because it usually has build issues and we didn't want to ruin 26.1 with it.

Cheers,
Franco
