Hi,

After updating to 25.7.8 I can't change the columns size in the Firewall: Log Files: Live View.

Thanks in advanced

I missed that. Confirmed, columns seem fixed. I didn't think "firewall: live log: make this grid static and slightly adjust info column width" meant that. Static columns seems an odd choice, if it was deliberate.

Nitpick: It'd be nice if the line shade was consistent - not by position (as it is now), but by element (so the text shade remains the same as it scrolls). I find the changing light/dark shading makes it harder to follow a particular entry.

I just updated today.
Live view is horrible now. Fixed columns, wasted space in some columns and text truncated in others like time for example without even be able to resize.

ok, thanks. applied both.
wasted space seems the same but now I least I can resize, I'm happy with that.

> wasted space seems the same

No, it's not the same.

Cheers,
Franco

I agree, the zebra coloring behind the moving text is throwing me off.  There are two challenges:

1) The fact that neighboring elements of the same type (e.g. multiple adjacent 'block' logs) have contrasting lighter/darker shades of the same color makes me think that those are different categories or types of log lines even though they're all just block actions.

2) As you mentioned, the row shade doesn't follow the text as it moves down the screen, so a 'pass' action will alternate between shades of green as it makes its way down.  This causes me to visually lose track of the line.

If it's not too much, I think an option to toggle the zebra shading off would be useful for some.

Hi OPNenthu,

what do you mean with the zebra coloring text.
Could it belong  to the theme you are using?
When I use my theme flexcolor black I don't have the zebra coloring (see attached image).
For the other schemes light and darklight you have this alternating color stripes, but you can change this by yourself by changing the "tablestripeback" to the same color as for "tableback" in the default_scheme.css of the flexcolor skin and restart the flexcolor service.
If you don't like flexcolor I believe there are more skins without an alternating stripe color as well.
