Sometimes is interesting to change the public IP address for various reasons like testing.

Now, I have to stop services and start again. I have not found another easier method.
Sometimes, after restarting services it does not fully work and I have to restart OPNsense anyway.

Maybe I have not found it, but it would be very helpful to have a button that forces the renewal of the public IP.

I'm not sure how you expect OPNsense to be able to determine the method that your ISP allocates public IPs.

The next best thing you can do is to toggle the WAN interface to disabled and then to enabled again. If you want that, make a feature request on Github, but check if there is (or was) one before.

I am using a low level option. Have a 5G connection with the ISP Modem in bridge mode. I am using a WLAN Power plug with Tasmota and can then programmatically send a web request to it to turn the Modem on and off (had to refer to IT Crowd) and then get a new IP.
