Voip as part of firewall
« on: January 29, 2017, 10:49:05 pm »
I use a standard pc with to networkcards.
Its room and a pci slot for a modem
Would it be useful with a package that sends voip signals to the modem, and hook up a telepohone to that modem?

in this case, how would you send tcp traffic to a modem.

perhaps u need an ata device.

on the ata device you will configure the voip settings, and u need to ensure that the appropriate firewall ports both inbound/outbound are open for voip, and also voip proxy ports, if the service provider for voips uses proxy.
