Migrate ElasticSearch Database
«

We tested Zenarmor on old hardware and after deciding we want to continue with it, I am deploying it on new machines. I am wondering if anyone has migrated an ElasticSearch DB from one physical machine to another and what the best method for this is, as to not lose data.
Thanks!

Hi,
Actually, there is no official option to migrate elasticsearch data. How many days were you keeping the data on old FW?

Clonezilla, then apply some tweaks for the new hardware.

Otherwise, cloning a Linux/FreeBSD root partition can be done with tar. Getting the bootloader to work is more complicated, but not impossible.

After some discussion, we decided to move to an external DB on a VM.
Thanks for the replies!

Out of curiosity, what kind of data were you trying to keep?
