Upgrade question regarding Wireguard on 24.1

Hello all, my question might sound dumb, but here goes....
My OPNsense box is running OPNsense 23.7.12_5-amd64. Wireguard is installed, and operates flawlessly. I've read that in the 24.1 release of OPNsense, Wireguard is part of the core system rather than as a plugin.
If I upgrade my box to 24.1, will the Wireguard configuration/profiles/interfaces from 23.7.12 be copied over and work straight away, or will I have to start from scratch?
Apologies in advance if this is a dumb question, and TIA for any guidance received.

If I remember correctly It should be carried over.
The WG-go and the WG-kmod (core system now) are basically identical from perspective of the configuration. There is a difference in performance more or less.
When I was upgrading I think my config remained as is. Just keep a backup if something happens you can load the backup config.

S.
