Iperf result difference between wifi client and opnsense vs wifi client and LAN

I am not sure if this expected results or an issue in my set up but I am seeing a big speed difference between running iperf on my opnsense box and a lan connected PC.
To explain:
I am running opnsense on a PC with a dual Ethernet card which is connected to a switch. Connected to the switch is my PC as well as an Unifi 6+ AP.
Using iperf I have seen the following results:
Server Client Speed
Lan PC Different lan PC 900mbs
Lan PC 5ghz Wifi Phone 250mbs
Opnsense 5ghz Wifi Phone 600mbs
Both the opnsense and my PC are connected via the switch so I wouldn't such a big difference when phone goes to the PC vs opnsense. And the first test verifies that the PC server can handle high speeds.
So I'm not sure if this is just expected behavior or an issue with my opnsense and how it is routing between my phone and PC.

The only thing that I can think of would be that the AP is just connected as a regular DHCP lease. I wonder if there are any settings that would help in the lease settings if I moved it to static?
