Fresh install of OpnSense doesnt show video output via VGA after Kernel Load

I've got two DFA-RS31 Series rack mounted network firewall machines that I've installed opnsense 23.7 on. One works perfectly fine and the other installs fine but when I reboot, it starts the initial kernel load then the screen goes blank. Opnsense still boots up fully and I can access the dashboard via LAN but the VGA output is blank. I've tried the command "set kern.vty=sc" and "set kern.vty=vt". The first command worked but not persistently. The second did nothing. I added set kern.vty=sc to the loader.conf.local file and rebooted and it didnt hold persistence. I've also tried installing 22.7 and it still did the same thing. I've looked all over the web trying to find a solution and nothing has worked as a permanent solutions thus far. Only difference between the working machine and the one with no VGA output is the brand of the mSata and ram stick. Thats it. I highly doubt either of those would cause this issue. If anyone is able to give me any insight or possible solution it would be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
P.S.: If you need any specific information from me, feel free to ask.

There are multiple GUI toggles in System - Settings - Administration to configure the console. No need to mess with loader.conf etc. (Assuming you are coming from "the other *sense
).

I'm new to all sense lol. Ive got opnsense running fine on another machine of mine which is handling my entire home network. Installed and configured without a hitch. This one just for some reason doesnt want to display anything. Ive checked the logs and nothing is shown in there. Primary console is set to VGA console and secondary console is set to EFI console and still nothing shows on the VGA output monitor.

Unticked the VT option? - The "Use the virtual terminal driver (vt)" checkbox. Should switch to "sc" once that is done -
https://github.com/opnsense/core/blob/master/src/etc/inc/system.inc#L1221
Also, you do NOT want the "USB-based serial" option enabled unless you actually have some USB-based serial plugged in and using it. (This is what "breaks" serial console just after boot finished, no login possible from there.)
Rebooting after making those changes if they do not seem to have an immediate effect is another idea.

Thank you so much. This fixed my problem. Still not sure why one machine worked with it checked and the other didnt. Same machines. Oh well. Thanks again

Well, there might be some undocumented HW changes even though the vendor claims the HW is identical.

Hey sorry for posting here, this might not be relevent here but I'm new in the community and have no idea on how to post a query. I have recently installed OPNsense on my old CPU and tried to use it as an internet router. Initially after installation I connected the LAN cable and used a guide on youtube to set up everything from 192.168.1.1. However, the guide was incredibly complex and I left it halfway. Then in order to follow a basic guide I connected my CPU to a monitor and chose the restore defaults option, in doing so, something happened and the CPU won't give out any output to monitor when opened and no sound that indicates that it is open correctly. What do I do?

Perform a fresh install using the "VGA" image.
