Update problems with latest stable version

Hello,

Sorry, but I'm not Hackerman and I need some advice.
A few days ago I startet update procedure, but the system is unable to finish the update. It hangs somehow by "Fetching base-22.7.3-amd64.txz". What should I do? Any suggestions?

Since version 1.25 HTTPS connections are now verified by default which is done
via "cert_reqs = 'CERT_REQUIRED'".  While certificate verification can be

I also have a hang trying to update from 22.7.3_2 to 22.7.4.
Tried GUI and console update. Both hang. Tried reboot, same issue.

I experienced the same problem when I upgraded from 22.7 to 22.7.2 via the GUI. [ https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=29952.0 ]

I figured it out through some research and found the opnsense-update command. You'll need to console into OpnSense, open the shell (option 8 I believe), and do the following: 

opnsense-update -b to get the latest base

opnsense-update -k to get the latest kernel

shutdown -r now


Give that a shot and see what happens.

I even tried changing the mirror from default to a closer server.
Thank goodness doesn't seem to affect firewall operation.

Sorry for the stupid question, but how exactly did you do that?

Then to fix the packages
System>Firmware>Packages Find the package, then on the right side 'Reinstall'

Had to do this on three OPNsense boxes. The latest updates didn't take until I reinstalled these packages. Then everything worked normally.
