Hello

On ESXI 7.0.3 (latest) with OPNsense ( 22.1.7_1)

I have 4 network adapters (vmx0 to vmx3)
Everything is fine

After reboot
all the vmx have mac mismatches.
vmx0 for ex wich is LAN is SYNC
vmx1 wicj is WAN is LAN

etc

Does someone has a clue why ?

thanks

works fine for me here ( same esxi and opnsense release )

do you have separate vswitch/portgroup defined for each of lan/wan?

only a single physical adapter assigned to each vswitch?

also, on each vswitch did you change the default security settings to ALLOW promiscuous mode/mac address changes/forged transmits - with the port group set to inherit the settings from the vswitch?

Also (or alternatively), leave the Interfaces / [if_name] / MAC address fields empty in OPNsense and use the vSphere's features to bind static MACs to IFs if needed. If you use both, the two of them clash when FreeBSD decides to shuffle IF names around.

Thanks for the link

This is a huge bug !
no correction is planned ?

Thanks again
