Hello

I've encountered kernel crash with 22.1.b1. and repeated tests/setups to confirm so.
/var/crash - attached; dmesg , and serial-console screen log attached too.

Setup is VirtualBox or Proxmox ; WAN & LAN adapters use Virtio. VM is OPNsense 21.7 fresh install upgraded to 22.1.b1 via development upgrade path. All settings default but wizard and LAN DHCP server eneabled.
VirtualBox VM has got network types of NAT (for WAN) , Host-only (for LAN).
Proxmox VM has got both WAN , LAN via Linux bridge mode.

The kernel crashes when traffic passes through firewall and reaches e.g. WAN gateway, so :
from some other LAN connected VM IP address -- through LAN-WAN of OPNsense VM -- to another WAN IP address e,g, WAN GW.

More examples:
No crashes occur when pinging from OPNsense VM itself (shell) to WAN GW.
No crashes when pinging from virtual environment host (Linux, Proxmox) to OPNsense VM LAN IP.

Let me know, if I should provide more info.

Thanks
T.

Thanks

Kernel  22.1.b1_57 fixes the problem. Marking the topic as SOLVED

I'll be replacing the b1 kernel on Monday to avoid further reports of the same issue since we got confirmation the fix is working.
