MTU Size - Jumbo's

I really liked my short test with default MTU, but I've a need for larger MTU sizes.

So I like to know if Sensei is going to support Jumbo's in the (near) future... ?

Hi @netnut, thanks. Jumbo frames is something that we need to work with netmap team. With 10G support, this will also be on the menu.

I know, this is an old thread, but any news on this?

Just wanted to give zenamor a try, but unfortunately the installation wizard doesn't even let me install it because of the jumbo frames.

Hi,

It is still under construction with netmap team. We are looking forward to announce soon.

[Edit March 21, 2022]: I’ve been notified by the team on this:

“The next netmap project is currently evolving as an idea and not likely to land in very soon. Ideally, we want to have a solution that will work across all device drivers. Currently one needs to add a specific support code to each and every device driver. This is the cause of the majority of netmap-related problems. And this does not seem sustainable in the long run”.
