Errors in transparent bridge documentation? Advise needed please.

Good afternoon all,

I'm a newbie/noob in this area so i apologize up front for asking (potential) stupid questions. or posting this in the wrong section.

I need some help/guidance in setting up a transparent bridge as it seems there is an error in the online documentation located here:

At the end of the document an IP is assigned to the OP1 interface (bridge) but this resulted in opnsense being inaccessible. Further searches revealed that the IP should be assigned to the LAN port ( https://azizozbek.ch/blog/2018/08/opnsense-bridge-firewall/  - in my case is do no have a DMZ)?

Question is: what is the correct setup here?
